The Plan
My job as a NYC Bankruptcy Attorney is to take you through the bankruptcy process as smoothly, easily, and quickly as possible. In order to facilitate that, I handle the majority of the work in my office. I do need you to complete a few things in order for the process to go smoothly from start to finish.
1. Call Me: When you call me for the FREE over-the-phone consultation at (646) 233-0645 I will go over your situation with you, explain whether you qualify for bankruptcy, what debts you can wipe away, and which assets you can retain.
2. Fill out my form: Once you’ve decided you want to file, I will send you a form to fill out which will ask you questions I will need answered in order to file your bankruptcy petition. I will also need you to sign my retainer agreement and gather together a few documents for me as well. Once all of that is complete, send it all back to my office where I will begin prepare the filing of your case
3. Pre-Filing Course: You will need to take a 1-hour pre-approved course over the Internet or phone.
4. 341 Meeting: This is a 5-10 minute meeting with the trustee of your case who will ask you a number of different questions about your case, primarily trying to figure out whether everything in the bankruptcy petition is true and accurate. I will of course prep you for this meeting and be with you through this process.
5. Post-Filing Course: You will need to take a 1-hour pre-approved post-filing course over the Internet or phone.
You’re done!! Once those steps are complete, your debts will soon be nothing more than a memory, extinguished from your records forever.
